Mission

The guesswork has been removed for us when it comes to defining our mission. Before our Lord ascended into heaven he said, "Go everywhere, tell everyone the Good News." Additionally he said, "Go, make disciples of all nations." It seems pretty clear, doesn't it – the focus is everyone, the scope is everywhere, the cost is everything and the methods are every way possible.

At Berean, we take this very seriously. We understand it to be our responsibility on a personal level and on an organizational level. If not us, Who? If not now, When?

Vision

One of the most important aspects of any strategy to get our mission accomplished is to be able to experience life-giving community. The way our Leader put it is this: "The most important thing we can do is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves."

The power of unconditional acceptance, the security of having a safe place, the peace of knowing past failures and bad choices are no indication of what one's life can be in the future – all create an environment where the presence of God can be experienced in its purity. Our desire is for Berean to be such a faith community.
